The portfolio includes direct air capture (DAC), enhanced rock weathering, ocean-based carbon dioxide removal, bio-oil sequestration, and other innovative approaches. The goal is to accelerate cost reduction curves and technical learning, making high-quality permanent carbon removal commercially viable at scale by 2030. Frontier has committed over $1 billion to purchase permanent carbon removal and has already contracted with leading suppliers.
