The Oxford Methodology
Why it matters — and why we use it
Coffset's portfolio is built entirely on the Oxford Principles for Carbon Offsetting (2024) — the most rigorous, science-based framework for voluntary carbon markets. Not all carbon credits are equal: a credit that avoids emissions today is valuable, but one that permanently removes CO₂ for centuries is categorically more impactful.
By spreading your offset across four of the five Oxford Types, Coffset follows the Oxford Principles published by the University of Oxford: balance near-term reductions with long-lived removals.
