Carbon offsetting is most effective when combined with genuine emissions reductions. Start today and track your impact over time.
What you get when you buy carbon credits
You choose an amount in kilograms or tonnes of CO₂e, for example the footprint you calculated. Each kilogram costs €0.04 for a one-time purchase, and a monthly subscription is 10% cheaper and can be cancelled at any time.
Coffset buys the same amount from CNaught’s portfolio of verified projects and has the credits retired in your name on the projects’ registries, such as Verra and Gold Standard. A retired credit can’t be sold or used again.
About a minute after payment you get a certificate by email. It shows your name, the amount and the projects your credits came from, and links to the CNaught order that lists every registry serial number, so anyone can check the retirement.
Credits complement cutting your own emissions; they don’t replace it. They fund climate projects for the emissions you can’t avoid yet, and they don’t make you or your company carbon neutral.
Buying carbon credits: frequent questions
How much do carbon credits cost?
€0.04 per kg of CO₂e for a one-time purchase. Monthly subscriptions are 10% cheaper. There are no extra fees on top of the price shown.
Which projects do my credits fund?
Each purchase is split across the projects in the portfolio: methane capture at landfills and gas-leak repair, forest and peatland protection, tree planting and regenerative farming, and durable removals such as biochar and geological storage. Your certificate lists the projects and the amount from each.
How do I know the credits are real?
Every credit is issued under a recognised standard, such as Verra, Gold Standard, Climate Action Reserve or Puro.earth, and retired on its public registry. Your certificate links to the order with the registry serial numbers, so you can check each retirement yourself.
Do I need an account?
No. You can buy as a guest, and the certificate goes to the email you enter at checkout. An account lets you see all your certificates and your carbon balance in one place.
Can I cancel a monthly subscription?
Yes, at any time, from your account or by writing to hello@coffset.org. Cancelling stops the next renewal; credits already retired stay retired.
